Rob Flewell, CMI, has extensive experience as a Medical Illustrator for various media, including: film, trade, consumer, and medical publishing; medical and general advertising; medical academia, including surgical illustration; web-based media; comic book illustration and storyboarding; and art direction for the pharmaceutical industry. Rob has created art on commission for academic textbooks and various prestigious publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, WIRED (magazine), the Journal of the American Medical Association, Science Magazine, and numerous other surgical atlases and medical journals. He obtained his academic illustration training during his tenure as Staff Illustrator for Duke University Medical Center, and he attained his Medical Illustration degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He currently lives and draws guts in the great borough of Brooklyn.
